This 14-day itinerary combines the best adventure safaris in the wide expanse of Tanzania's northern savanna, hot air balloon flight in Serengeti, cultural immersion with the Maasai community of West Kilimanjaro, and a relaxing finale of sea activities in the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar. This savanna, sky, and sea safari allows you an unforgettable blend of adventure, nature, and heritage.
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Evening arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You may apply for visa upon arrival or may get an e-visa (visit this website for more information https://visa.immigration.go.tz/start) prior to arrival in Tanzania. Transfer to your accommodation in the Maasai Highlands of West Kilimanjaro where you'll be staying in a traditional Maasai hut for two nights.

Day 2: Maasai Highlands of West Kilimanjaro

Spend the day exploring the highlands on foot and visit a Maasai village. Engage with the Maasai community and learn about their customs, lifestyle, and traditional livestock herding. Participate in activities like spear throwing, dancing with the Maasai tribe on the plateau at sunset, and eating Maasai-style grilled goat by the bonfire under the stars. You may get the opportunity of seeing the peaks of Kilimanjaro on a clear day.

Day 3: Arusha National Park

Check-out after breakfast and drive to the nearby Arusha National Park. Experience the park’s diverse landscapes and wildlife, including giraffes, buffaloes, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. ​​Day 4: To Tarangire National Park

Check-out after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park (2.5 hours) . Discover Tarangire’s iconic baobab trees, large elephant herds, and abundant wildlife including lions, zebras, and different types of antelope. Bush lunch overlooking the Tarangire River. Day 5: Tarangire National Park and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Leave camp at the break of dawn to go on an early morning game drive around Tarangire National Park. Return to camp at around 9:00 a.m. for breakfast and prepare for checkout. Leave camp with lunch boxes and take another brief game drive around the park exiting the gate at 2:00 p.m. Drive towards the Ngorongoro crater highlands and spend the night in a lodge inside Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Pass by a souvenir shop for shopping and a couple of viewpoints for picture taking along the way.

​​​Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Check-out after an early morning breakfast and descend into the world’s largest unbroken caldera for a game drive. Picnic lunch by the hippo pool inside the crater. Ascend the crater at around 2:00 p.m. and drive to central Serengeti where you'll be spending the night in a tented camp in Seronera. Click here for more information on Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park Central - Seronera

After an early breakfast leave camp and proceed to the rivers to see the hippos and go on a full day game drive around Seronera area, known for diverse wildlife and predator sightings. A day of focusing on spotting big cats like cheetahs, lions, and leopards and enjoy the wildlife rich ecosystem of central Serengeti. Picnic lunch in the bush and return to camp at sunset. Day 8: Serengeti National Park North – Kogatende

Check-out after breakfast and drive to Kogatende (4-5 hours) with game viewing along the way. Afternoon game drive after lunch at the tented camp. Explore Kogatende’s famous Mara River, where you may witness wildebeest crossing the river during the Great Migration.

Day 9: Serengeti National Park North - Kogatende

Leave camp at around 5:15 a.m. and proceed to hot air balloon launching site. Take early morning hot air balloon safari followed by a luxury bush breakfast. Continue exploring Kogatende and the Mara River area, spotting crocodiles, hippos, and herds of wildebeests and zebras. Day 10: Flight to Zanzibar

Transfer to Kogatende Airstrip and say goodbye to your driver guides. Take a domestic flight from Kogatende to Zanzibar and transfer to Stone Town where you'll be spending two nights. Lunch in a sea view restaurant in Stone Town and afternoon free time relaxation and souvenir shopping. Sunset cocktails and 5-course dinner in a rooftop restaurant in Stone Town (dinner included in the package but alcoholic beverages extra). Cocktails start a 6:00 p.m. and dinner is served at 7:00 p.m.

After an early breakfast take a speed boat transfer to Chumbe Island Coral Park where you'll be spending the day snorkeling and visiting a lighthouse. A healthy seafood lunch will be served after snorkeling. Back to Stone Town for evening relaxation and sunset dinner in a beachfront restaurant.

​​​​​​Day 12: To Northern Zanzibar - Nungwi

After breakfast take a guided tour of Stone Town visiting the House of Wonders, Old Fort, the spice market, the Anglican Cathedral, and the historic slave market site. Check-out of the hotel and drive 1.5 hours to the northernmost town of Nungwi where you'll be spending two nights. Afternoon relaxation in the beach followed by an evening of sailing along the coast on a traditional dhow with local musicians as the sun sets. Lunch and dinner not included in the package but we'll give recommendations of restaurants to try in the area.

Day 13: Northern Zanzibar - Nungwi

After breakfast take a short drive to visit a sea turtle sanctuary and Kendwa beach. Afternoon relaxation and free time. Optional activities (not included in the package: horseback riding on the beach, skydiving, massages, etc). Lunch and dinner not included in the package but we'll give recommendations of restaurants to try in the area.

Morning relaxation at the beach and breakfast. Check-out at around 11:00 a.m. and drive Stone Town for lunch and last minute shopping. Transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for departure.
